How much should you tip movers?

I’ve never heard of it being customary. I’ve moved three times personally and arranged three commercial moves. I’ve never tipped the movers on any of those occasions.
I’m already paying hefty charges to the moving company. Loading or unloading the truck is a basic service that I’ve already paid for. I don’t see why a tip is necessary.
