I know it might cost more but that is what lawyers are for, if your settlement is far take her to court, she is just controlling you, She don’t want to see you happy. Also a lot of apartments don’t even do a credit background check. You will be surprised. I was divorced twice and had really bad credit and I got the first apartment I looked at. It is all about First, Last, and Security. Some times the company will not offer more, some problems you have to work out your self. Certain things I wouldn’t even tell them. It is unprofessional of you to think that they are responsible for paying off your crazy ex-wife(lack of better term only). Handle some of these issues privately, also if it don’t work out and you loose the job offer you will never know if you lost it because they didn’t want you because you brought your personal problems into it.
